Everyone knows that I love on-line applications. Heck, I even use Google Health! All hail Google (may it reign forever).

But Google isn’t the only company providing on-line applications and they are certainly no panacea. I even wrote my own task management system because I couldn’t find one I like.

So I was delighted to find 280 Slides (www.280slides.com) which provides a very Keynote-like interface for creating presentations. In addition to it being easy, it will save it as a PowerPoint file or you can keep it on-line and view it through a browser–very handy for when your notebook battery dies just before your big presentation.

Check it out!

By the way, I’m still working on rsync issues with my USB Thumb Drive and getting a cross-platform backup and encryption support to run easily from the drive.
