Top 10 Beautiful Women
One day in 1998 some of my lunch buddies and I got into a discussion
about who each thought was the most beautiful woman. We all quickly agreed
that our wives were number one (and it is true in my case at least). But
excluding our lovely wives, we each made a list of the top 10 beautiful
women. Over the years our lists have changed, but we still bring it up
from time to time. I kept forgetting who was on my list so I decided to
actually write it down.
The women here are presented in random order.
Denise
Richards
Born February 17, 1972 in Downer's Grove, Illinois. Height: 5'6".
At the age of 12, her parents, Joni and Irv, moved to the San Diego area,
where they still currently own a chain of coffee shops called Jitters.
She did some modeling as a teenager and briefly moved to New York where
she lived in a model apartment with six other girls. But being a short
5ft 6in, Denise knew that she was never going to get much further than
the J Crew catalog so she moved to Los Angeles and started taking acting
classes. Her first role on TV was on the drama Life
Goes On. After that she made guest appearances in Melrose
Place (as Brandi Carson), Married
with Children, Seinfeld
(as Molly in the episode The Shoes), Lois
and Clark, and Weird
Science. Her debut feature appearance was in 1993s National
Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1. She has been in many movies including Starship
Troopers, Wild
Things, Drop
Dead Gorgeous, and The
World Is Not Enough. One of my favorite movies starring Denise is
Tammy and the
T-Rex (1994) which is so cheezy, it is funny!
Mädchen
Amick
Born on December 12, 1970 in Reno, Nevada. Height: 5'6". MAID-CHEN
AY-MICK (pronounced with the long "ä") was born in Reno,
Nevada on December 12, 1970. She is half German, a quarter Norwegian,
and a quarter Swedish. Her name, which can also be written as Maedchen,
means "maiden" or "young woman" in German and results
from the desire of her parents, Bill and Judy, to give their daughter
a name more unusual than their own. Her first real role was in StarTrek:
The Next Generation episode 2.10 (The Dauphin) where she played Salia,
a sixteen year old girl and also a mesomorph, who flirts with Wesley.
She is most famous for her role in Twin
Peaks where she played Shelly.
Jennifer
Connelly
Born on December 12, 1970 in the Catskill Mountains of mid-state New York.
Jennifer is probably best known for her starring role in Jim Henson's
Labyrinth,
her co-starring roles in Joe Johnston's The
Rocketeer and Darren Aronofsky's Requiem
for a Dream, and last but not least, her more recent Academy Award-winning
performance in Ron Howard's A
Beautiful Mind. She attended Yale and Stanford studdying english and
drama. My favorite movies with her also includes Dark
City. She speaks fluent Italian and French and is interested in Quantum
Physics and philosophy.
Sandra
Bullock
Born on July 26, 1964 in Washington D.C. to Mother, Helga (German opera
singer) and Father, John (American voice coach). Height: 5'8". Sandra
spent the first twelve years of her life living between Salzburg, Austria
(during opera season) and Arlington, Virginia, as her mother's work required
her presence in both cities. She is fluent in German and allergic to horses.
Besides being in such blockbusters as Speed,
The Net, While
You Were Sleeping, and Demolition
Man, she also starred in a movie along side one of my favorite characters,
Steve Austin (The Six Million Dollar Man) in Bionic
Showdown: The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman.
Elizabeth
Hurley
Born on June 10, 1965 in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. Height: 5'9".
Her dream as a youth was to become a dancer, so she went to a boarding
school for ballet instruction when she was twelve years old. She soon
returned home, however. She made her screen debut at the age of 21 in
Bruce Beresford's movie Aria
in 1987. In 1994 her career skyrocketed with the relase of the movie Four
Weddings and a Funeral and with her becoming the spokesmodel representing
Estée Lauder. One of her first movies was Passenger
57, but she has also been in Austin
Powers: International Man of Mystery and Bedazzled.
At one time she was one of the final choices to play Lara Croft in the
movie Tomb Raider, but for some reason was not chosen (Angelina Jolie
played the role).
Mira
Sorvino
Born on September 28, 1967 in Tenafly, New Jersey. She graduated magna
cum laude from Harvard in 1990 with a degree in East Asian Studies.
She speaks fluent Mandarin. In 1995 she won an oscar for best supporting
actress in Mighty
Aphrodite. Two of my favorite movies are Romy
and Michele's High School Reunion and Replacement
Killers.
Claire
Forlani
Born on July 1, 1972 in Twickenham, Middlesex, England and was raised
in London by her Italian father and English mother. She enrolled in the
London Arts and Educational School at the age of 11. There she would go
on to study dance and drama for the next 6 years. She then moved to San
Francisco and briefly attended college before dropping out to pursue acting
full-time. Her big break, although many of Claire's true fans might associate
her with the Kevin Smith comedy Mallrats,
her big break did not come until she landed her role in the action film
The Rock where
she played the part of the world-weary daughter of an escaped convict
played by Sean Connery. Then in 1998, Claire was launched into the public
eye when she was cast in a lead role in the dark drama Meet
Joe Black. My favorite was Mystery
Men.
Milla
Javovich
Born December 17, 1975 in Kiev, Ukraine. Height 5'9". Milla is a
model, actress and singer / song writer. Her modeling career started at
11 years when she was chosen as one of Revlon's "Most Unforgettable
Women in the World." Her first magazine cover was in 1987. Her first
movie came also when she was 11, Two
Moon Junction. More notibly has been her appearances in the television
shows Married
... With Children, Parker
Lewis Can't Loose which led to her starring in Return
to the Blue Lagoon. She has also been in Kuffs
(one of Erin's favorite movies), The
Fifth Element (one of my very favorite movies), The
Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, Zoolander
and Resident Evil.
She released her first musical album, The
Divine Comedy, in 1994 (and it is quite good). For the last eight
years she has been in a band called Plastic Has Memory and although she
has recorded many songs, she is not really interested in releasing an
album. She speaks fluent Russian.
