Description: The CD-ROM drive is based on the CD players used for music. An optical read head (looks like a bubble) projects a laser onto the bottom of the CD itself. As the disk spins, the laser reads the pits and valleys on the CD representing 1s and 0s. The disk is read from the center outwards. |
