The 5.25" floppy drive was the mainstay of removable data storage from the inception of the PC itself. Ranging in storage capacity from 360 KB (low density) to 1200 KB (high density), these disks did it all. The 5.25" floppy has now become obsolete, giving way to the 3.5" floppies.
